The bones were good but we needed to repair/replace/reimagine some of the spaces in the existing house. John helped us bring our ideas to life. He and his team carefully removed original woodwork and reinstalled it in the new setting so that our home has the old charm we love freshly restored. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over the past two years, my wife and I have used Walnut Grove Builders Inc. to perform two renovations on Condominium Units in Avalon NJ. The first renovation, a major one, was necessary as the result of an extremely cold winter when a Condo pipe burst and completely destroyed our unit. The second renovation was by choice and was driven by our satisfaction with Walnut Grove’s previous renovation. The first renovation consisted of: Complete new kitchen with quartz counters, new cabinets, new appliances and a tile floor. Complete new living room with drywall ceiling, drywall repair of water damaged walls, all new window sills and trim, and new carpet. Complete new bathroom with tile shower and walls, new vanity/lavatory and tile floor. Also drywall repairs and window sills and trim were replaced in the bedroom. In addition, the laundry area was tiled and walk-in closet floor was tiled. Finally, the entire unit painted top-to-bottom. The second renovation consisted of: Quartz counter in the kitchen, complete tile bathroom, pocket door for the bed room and the entire unit painted top-to-bottom. Walnut Grove handled the both renovations very professionally as all the work was coordinated by John Michaels and the office staff. They were readily available to answer any questions and provided timely updates on the work progress. Besides the quality of the work performed by Walnut Grove Builders, my wife and I were extremely impressed by how the cleanliness of the work area was maintained inside the unit and the Condominium Common Areas. My wife and I are pleased to recommend Walnut Grove Builders to anyone who is looking for quality work with the least amount of stress possible on the owner through the entire duration of the construction/renovation. Arthur & Carol Heath I called seven different contractors to do this work (replace deck and door landing) and John was by far the most responsive.
